Pierre Leclerc
Galerie Le Chien D'Or - Pierre Leclerc

Born in Quebec City in 1939, Pierre Leclerc displayed a natural aptitude for design and the visual arts from an early age.

In 1960, he received his certificate in architectural and industrial design. His fifteen years as a designer helped him develop his technique. He also studied under Marie Laberge, Rémi Clark and Saint-Gilles, among others, which contributed to his artistic development and the broadening of his creativity.

Among his inspirations are the Charlevoix countryside, the urban environment of Old Québec, maritime scenes and individuals. Oil, watercolour and sanguine chalk are his preferred mediums. Pierre Leclerc is a member of the Institute of Figurative Arts and the Québec Watercolour Workshop. Since 2004, he  has been the President of the Sainte-Foy Artistic Society, where he has also taught since 1985.
