Born in 1964 in Lauzon, Quebec, Denis Nolet is part of the new generation of high realism artists.
At a very young age, he became interested in drawing and during his adolescence he painted many canvases in his teacher’s studio from whom he took lessons for a period of six years. After studying different artistic techniques, he began to emphasize the quality of his brush stroke and also the reality of the scene. Urban and rural scenes would inspire him for the next 15 years.
At the end of the 90’s, he developed a new style, with fewer details and more emphasis on the imaginative. This artistic process culminated in his now well-known style of paintings that combine realism with touches of dream elements and fantasy.
Denis Nolet’s paintings are now found in many private and corporate collections in Canada and abroad.
